Midnight Poem by Brad Therriault

Midnight

You came at me like midnight
The difference is the stars this time are your eyes
And the cool soft wind is your voice
But like midnight, darkness was cast upon me
A wish of that we were together
But when you came at me like midnight
I didn’t know what to do
I started to shake
I hit the floor
I saw a whole world with just you
But like midnight
It has to pass
And I woke up to find out
It was just a dream
