Midnight Blue Poem by Elena Goldenberg

Midnight Blue

The night is going to be long
I'm feeling blue and washed along
The coast of someone's happy dreams
A life exactly what it seems
I'm feeling black as midnight thoughts
Of someone ill or someone lost
The night is going to be true
An honest blow of midnight blue
The day forsaken, nights a mess
And spleen puts on a fancy dress
I; m feeling sad and have no clue
How one moults back from such a hue.
