Midnight Marsh Poem by Gill Moore

Midnight Marsh

A starry night above the marsh
The sheep are softly bleating
An owl hoots in search of prey
These moments pass, so fleeting

The reed beds sway in whispered breeze
The horses they are sleeping
Till break of day when they awake
The night-time gently keeping
