Midnight Muse Poem by TANIYA KUNDU

Midnight Muse

Rating: 5.0

What strikes your
Iridescent soul
Wings of a foreign
Dream or the sea
Of a musical tide?

Why do you lie
Awake in the
Hour that snores
A decadent sleep?

What is it you
Seek, absolution
In an abyss or
A muse that breathes
Life into you?

Why will you not
Speak in a world
Of need, and shy
Away to a sleep?
