Midnight On The Road Poem by Alexzia Ferdinand

Midnight On The Road

i couldn't help but notice
that you hug the center line
when you drive at night.
stay close with danger, all the time.
as if you'd rather
bring oncoming traffic to a
screeching halt, go out
with a blaze, broken glass
tire marks on pavement
then wander off
onto the shoulder
into a midnight of oblivion.
