Midnight's Treasures © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Midnight's Treasures ©

How sweetly sleeps the diamond sea,
beneath a glistening pearl night sky;
As lapiz stars glow silently,
Each twinkle but a starry sigh.

Red rubies of a remnant sun,
linger long and pause to melt;
as onyx shadows one by one,
make their pure black presence felt.

Jade ribbons of the palm trees sway,
to haunting tunes sung by the waves;
As shells of amethyst gleam grey,
in secret hidden treasure caves.

Midnight's treasures ours to cherish,
with daylight fade and start to perish.
