Mighty Hawk Poem by Michael Peterson

Mighty Hawk

Soaring high in the sky
Flowing in the jet streams
Searching for your next meal
High in the sky, way above the trees
Perching so high on a wire down to a post
Mighty breast showing, keen eyes searching
Preying on the small innocent creatures
Spotting the meal down yonder
Soaring to new heights
Diving at a scorching speed
The monster wings powerfully flapping
Swooping once to stun the victim
So strong you are to them
Circling to set for the kill
Pouncing so mercifully on the creature
Leaving very little for any others around
Squawking in pride
Flying to a billboard edge to search for your next meal
