'Mind Your Own Business! ' Poem by Linda Winchell

What better way to tell people
To...“Mind your own business… and let me be! ”
Than to quote what Matthew wrote in 7: 1-21
For the entire world…now to read.

“To judge not…that you be judged”
Are words so lightly tossed about.
When what it is really saying to us
Is you had better first go and check your own closet out!

Jesus used many metaphors…while speaking
“By their fruits you will know them”
Not judged by earthly values at all
But by heavenly values keeping.

Be slow to judge others
And much quicker to judge yourself.
There you will see…those sins maybe hidden
On your own darkened closets shelf.
