Ministry Of Fear(Poem For Onelia To Get Better To!)

Rating: 5.0

Oh I was bewailng
the Ides of March

& how like a fickle lover
it could turn and

'smile and smile
and
still be a villain'

leaving me leave
the house

without coat or hat

& laugh at that
that I am caught out

drenched like a rat

or prepared
for all that

smile upon my heavy coat
(getting heavier all the while)

or the folly of
carrying an oversized brolly

or laughing now
as it turns out -

- side in & inside out

me & brolly
looking aghast

as it snatches
like a common thief

the aforementioned
brand new hat

& dashes off
out of sight down the road with it.

'Enough...enough! '
I've had enough!

Return to my abode
and stocking toed

feet cosily up

laugh at the enraged weather
making faces behind the glass

as I get stuck in
to Graham Greene

:) ...'as I get stuck in to Graham Greene'... it's a fresh fresh spring poem starting with the 'Ides of March' and ending stuck in Green :) Refreshing green lettuce in a delicious vitaminous salad of words :) . Excellent!
