Miracles Poem by Singleton M. Tate

Miracles

'Guilty, ' cried fallen angels,
As I walked to the chair,
No one will plead my case,
Now is this really fair...

I know that my iniquity,
Has hid me from your face,
It seems the trial must be,
Dear God, I pray for grace...

With darkness closing in,
The verdict won't take long,
Only you have the last say,
You're Sovereign on the throne...

The devil is the accuser,
As he reads my list of sins,
'An abuser, drug user and boozer, '
The flames got higher, he grins...

Here's the end of my journey,
Would I get a fast reprieve?
Where is my defense attorney?
I really wish I could leave...

Then at that very second,
The door swung open wide,
It's over for me, I reckon,
Jesus pushed the enemy aside...

I'm here to address The Judge,
'Faithful and True' is my name,
On Calvary I shed my blood,
For this soul I took the blame...

Miracles... You Do,
Promises in your Word,
Faith is the breakthrough,
Salvation was Preferred...
