Mirror Poem by Lewis Bosworth

Mirror

the mirror perches above,
its beveled edges encased
in a dark grained frame.
my great aunt's dressing
table lanterns occupied
the space once.
reflected in its prim glass
is an owl almost on the
shoulders of my ancient
teddy bear. he sleeps,
his haunches resting on
a blue bandana.
loose specks of fire
from lightening outside
snap across the scene.
