Mirror, Mirror, On My Wall |
|
|
| |
Mirror, Mirror on my wall you show the truth and that’s not all; others now appear to be reflected there looking back at me.
Changing at increasing pace, I see the past in my aging face; it brings memories, of days gone by when youth looked back. But now a sigh escapes me, as I turn to grab more cream, more saving grace; make-up to soften this place where Grandma’s smile and Mom’s sweet eyes, have become my own.
The years are taking my youth away, but my history still lives; it laughs to see the girl that was and the woman I am today, is in the faces of the women of yesterday.
