Mirrored Beings Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Mirrored Beings

Rating: 5.0

‘…You have lion's eyes…
You have a glow…'

I have found the dwelling of my spirit:
in your presence;
and all I knew, vanished;
reviving a new being inside me—
my true being
I have long dreamt to find;
emerging
from the depths of my depths,
standing before me, face-to-face—
in your mere presence!

I have become dependent on you:
for you were the portal
to my own profundity of spirit—
the mirror to my own soul.
So I have become a stalker,
in search for its phantom:
I suffocated you with my obsession,
and then…then I start running away
from you—from my own self,
in hope that I may save myself
from Myself.

Yet you were constantly with me—
possessing me, beckoning at me;
so, I have abandoned Myself for myself;
and the other part of you,
which was You—I neglected it,
hurt it, mocked it;
and yourself was running away with Myself
to catch me
and to dispossess me of my being.

I was a fugitive, trying to escape the truth,
consoling in a lie;
the lie of whatever my reality was made of—
the imaginary walls
I have built around me all my life—
and you have found me,
and intrude into my dwelling:
in searching for Yourself.

The lie of whatever my reality was made of — The imaginary walls I have build around me all my life— And you have found me, and intrude into my dwelling: In searching for Yourself........nice flow. Beautifully penned. Tfs.

The storyline and the flow both took it to a different level altogether, you made the love for soulmate immortal and the obsession with balanced mind took it to the heights of infinity....Loved it MP....10+++

Love with its magic wand performs great trick beckoning one into realms untrodden and thus the hesitation to embark and embrace it. Wonderful write.

Outstanding write, I can relate to the finding of oneself in another and feeling obsessive about your lover but fear of seeing oneself makes you want to run away. A deep, intense and outstanding write!
