Misplaced Poem by Shirley Harrison

Misplaced

Illusions of you

entwined in sweet memories

love, never fades

your light that once shone

now flickers upon each moonlit hour

physical visions

that once were

have gone from my sparkling eyes

forever weeping my loss

yet...

it is lovely to know

all the while I'm aware

your presence is all around me

you stand beside me

your warmth

is with me always

your guidance willing me

to go forward each new day

with pride gently placed

deep within my heart.
