Missed Calls Poem by Prafulla Sahu

Missed Calls

Missed calls unlike missing man
Shows and speaks
Never misses the near and dear ones
Time to wake up for morning walk

Time to catch local train
Time to lift the kid from bus stop
Delivers daily routine
Speaks louder than warden.

Spreads like fragrance,
Links to park restaurant,
Connects to cafes and halls.

Shaping time, saving talk time;
A friend and guide
Promotes love and trust

Thus I cherished the idea
Only till that morning,
wrapped under blanket,
I ignored a call
from a jugging friend
finally to receive a knock at my door
‘Why not responding my call?
Sis missing since late night, come, come soon,
Let us lodge an FIR.’

Now I say-‘Missed Calls.? No more
Plz No more‘‘
