Missing Poem by Katie Stacey

Missing

Rating: 3.5

I am not always yours
And you are not always mine
But when we are alone
You belong to me
And I belong to you
And we are us
I am endlessly amazed
At how we seem to fit
My face pressed into
The unexpected softness
Of your shoulder
Our legs entwining
Your arms pulling me tight
As you envelope me
My body melding into yours
Until I disappear into you
And your mouth seeks out mine
And I emerge into it
I know it's a silly thought
But if I could
I would stay there for so long
You might forget I was there
And take me with you
But even when I'm gone
A bit of me is still with you
I think that it must be
As everytime we say goodbye
It feels like part of me
Is missing.
