Mister Worldly Wise

God said He’ll open children’s eyes
Knowledge, by grace would grow
But yet for some, it fails to rise
Because they think to know

Though scholars leave our finest schools
Diplomas proud in hand
With Darwin’s theory some as fools
Fail God to understand

On radio is heard their voice
We see them on T.V
It’s clear God’s way is not their choice
His truth they fail to see

Their criticism’s everywhere
With necks as stiff as iron
God ignorant, their passion share
Serving satanic wine

The devil’s poison thick they spread
Like Pharisees before
Though worldly wise, they’re walking dead
Who fail to find Life’s Door

So blind to The Lamb, God’s Christ & Son
Ignorant of His Light
Within the web the devil’s spun
Robbed of spiritual sight

They speak long words with narrow mind
No truth of God within
If Christ in life they fail to find
They’ll perish in their sin

Not always is our knowledge right
Nor wisdom of the earth
Through Christ alone, we’ve perfect sight
That comes with second birth.
