Misunderstood Poem by Jessie Mahoney Bathis

Misunderstood

MISUNDERSTOOD

Nobody knows, nobody cares,
Everyone laughs, points & stares.
They do not know who I really am,
Just another loser is all I am to them.
They do not know how idolised they are,
And how many people wish day after day, that one day they'll become them.
A boring person and a nobody,
That's all you are if you are not one of them.
If they gave me a chance,
Gave up time to get to know me.
I know they'd find they misunderstood me,
I'm not really the 'nothing' they said I'd be.
