Mocking Distance Poem by Rachel Henley

Mocking Distance

Lets not measure the distance darling.
Do not get frustrated at the miles.
Our bodies, far apart.
My heart, is with you all the time.

I crave for you to be close,
I beg for you to be near.
Then the wind whispers in my ear
'Darling I'm already here'

The moments apart are longer.
The moments together, are stronger.
Young we may be,
Defeated we are certainly not.

Lets prove the parents wrong,
Let our love mock our friends.
Show them, who truly wins.
Love, always wins, in the end.
