Moderation is the key
That lesson you sure have learnt
For eyeball to eyeball you did see
With the one who, a lot to you, meant
You never thought you were being tolerated
Until you'd pushed too far
Of course you were berated
When he exclaimed, 'Ah! '
So you worry until your b.p. rises
'Is he still the tolerant friend you had? '-
He has thrown you chemistry into crises
And has taken you off guard
Was he not accommodating and patient?
Perhaps you are no longer the vogue
Or perhaps it is hightime YOU were patient
For when you got greedy you went rogue
Now that the deed is done
You've had your lesson to learn;
Your intimacy is gone
And for a second chance you yearn
You try not to, still you rue
Your having to experience this crash
You wish someone had told you:
'Moderation, or you clash! '
