Modern Poesy Poem by Indira Renganathan

Modern Poesy

Rating: 5.0

Appealing like the charming teen-ager
Lovingly in love loved by the same 'ager
Sometimes metering doddered lika a toddler
Prosodial lingua travailing like a prattler..
By all means
Poesy but says 'I don't bother'
But I say'o.k, you're too a stylish mother'

Why when all is said and done, classical music scores over its other genres, is because with all the restrictions imposed on a raga, it still has an ample scope ] contd... for improvisations and creativity. Thanks, in seven sweet lines you have said a lot. I loved reading it.

This poem is very well articulated. But on modern poesy, I have a different take. Freedom is fine, if you still know not to go berserk. If you have some self discipline. Yet, when it goes free for all, it is no poetry at all. Prose can't be verse, nor can verse be prose., , contd

Modern poesy: Poetry with its barriers down, more real than the conventional metres. Am I great fan of this poetry form. Beautiful poem, well articulated and nicely encapsulated with insight. Thanks for sharing madam.
