Moments Poem by Clarence Thomas

Moments

I have come to realize
That our complex lives are made
Of nothing more than moments
That range from every color of every shade

Every moment different from every other
With each unique in its own way
Every one precious, and though some are regretfully made
There are some we wish in which we could forever stay

But unfortunately, a moment only lasts a moment
And although each one is unique
We are both blessed and cursed
To choose only the special ones which to keep

But love is an ever-present beauty
Kept in us that time can never mar
And I just wanted to take this moment
To tell you how beautiful to me you really are.
