Mommy Is Sleeping Poem by Linda Claire

Mommy Is Sleeping

Mommy, wake up.
Wake up for me?
If not me, for us?
For your loving family?
For your two young children?
For your husband?
For your own Mommy and daddy?
For your brothers and sisters?
Or anyone else who loves you as we do?

Mommy, I need you.
Because it is simply not fair for a girl
To be without a mommy.

Mommy, please?
Wake up for me?
I am crying now.
I visit you every day.

Mommy, it's been two months.
And I need you Mommy.
I love you Mommy!
I love you and I miss you!
please wake up?

Her eyes open.
And she says the words I needed most;
'I love you to the moon and back
Forever and always,
My baby you'll be'

And together we cry.
