Monsoon. Poem by Karlo Avenido

Monsoon.

I won't sleep.
I won't shut my eyes.
I won't dream
if dreaming of you
meant that I won't see you
in the morning rain.

The rays caress my face
that once covered in disgust
for unbearable lies.

The rain
pours
mercilessly
on my
sunburned
face.
