Moon! Oh Moon! Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Moon! Oh Moon!

Rating: 5.0

Dark under the trees and bright under the skies
Sparkling over the waters and shining over the hills
Intoxicating many and infuriating some
Marking silver lines around the clouds
Enthusing water Lilies to bloom in love
Oh! Moon you are the one coming as boon
In cold nights with gentle breeze
You stir the moods make them swoon without wine
In summer nights you soothe the body as well the heart
Erasing the trauma inflicted by Sun! your cousin!
