Moonlight Serenade Poem by fara sutaru

Moonlight Serenade

The full moon shines so pretty and bright
A shadow was walking on the beach that night
Then sat quietly on the white fine sand
Looking up and reaching out its hand.

The full moon spread its silver light
Across the meadow on the hills that night
A slender silhouette stands under it
Watching as the light fades bit by bit.

The soft wind blows along the beach
Touching the slumbering shadow's cheek
It closes its eyes and hummed a tune
Hoping his wishes could reach the moon.

On the other hand at the top of the hill
The silhouette stands and start to feel
The pounding of her heart seems fast
As she hears a beautiful melody pass.
