Moonshine Poem by Niy Bil

Moonshine

you rose from the shadow as the dim light on your face settled,
in the hidden empty meadow, with the soft wind in your hair and the solemn words you uttered
I could not but falter to the memory where once a body had met another.
in the silence we now shared heavy as the black sky that us overshadow’d,
you could hear the grass sing of the secret love we once knew but now had devoured,
my soul heady with the taste of your sweet lilac lips, my eyes heavy than lilac wine
your beauty left me dazzled As you walked away, you ceased to be mine
, tears needn’t to be shed or secrets be unraveled, in that late spring soaked moonshine
