More Like A Kitten Poem by Minnie Gehrig

More Like A Kitten

When i am with you,
under the stars of high vaulted ceilings,
your naked body a canvas
for my random writing,
the tip of my finger a pen, filling in
all of the undiscovered places,
tracing your soul,
and finding your smile,
in blindness as love always is,
Justification,
Im just a scared girl again,
less like a tigress, more like a kitten,
purring in the palm of your delicious over sized hands,
Not so much a dreamer,
more a realist,
feeling the slight tip of balance,
my toes are digging into the earth,
least i look into those baby blues,
and fall in love again.
