More Than Just A Biscuit Poem by Lauri Bond

More Than Just A Biscuit

Rating: 5.0

Digo, Bourbon, Hob Nob, Rich Tea,
I'm definitely not fussy.
You never have just one,
But then suddenly there all gone!
Morning, noon and night,
There always in my sight.
They've got to be dunked in tea or coffee,
But you must never let them get soggy.
They are my little bit of happiness,
In this world of stress.
Biscuits mean a lot to me,
Because I love sharing them with my family.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's no secret I love biscuits! ! ! ! ! Not just that though since I was a child I used to go to my grandparents most days and it was a busy bustling house and the biscuit tin with a cup of tea/coffee was the central focal point. Evan now my mum has a focal biscuit tin and so do I: -) it seems to show our kindness to everyone that enters the house.

I love to dunk them. A lovely poem and a good write. Keep writing.

Wonderful poem :) I know some may laugh at this, but you speak so passionately of biscuits: P
