morning Coffee Poem by Bill Grace

morning Coffee

At ‘The Corner Store'
I have morning coffee,
after I drop daughter at school.

If
the home town team
wins in the national finals -
it is free -
there is no charge.

The day
starts
in celebration
and
caffeine
and
a constant struggle
to raise doggerel
to poetry.
