Morning Hope Poem by Rick Elpers

Morning Hope

Rating: 3.5

This morning dry emotion
Expresses quietly a path
Through aloneness and work
And as the sun rose
Over a dewy grass field
Slowly warming my bones
I breathe deeply hoping
Gods desire will be revealed
To assuage my burden
That these days may be lighter
In my heart and this journey
Be narrow to His design
And purpose.
