Morning Rain Poem by Ronald Chapman

Morning Rain

Gray skies,
Thunder sounds, like a beating heart,
I hear your whispers in the wind,
As the rain falls like never ending tears,

Painfully cold, missing love,
Love has left me standing alone,

I'm afraid,
Love will not find her way back home,
Through the cold rain,

I have always been thinking,
How can two Souls in love be separated by a flood,
Caused by a rain of tears?

We once said, we would never say goodbye,

Hoping, when the skies clear,
You will return home from the East,
With the next sunrise.
