Most Genuine Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Most Genuine

When you have been called,
Every name there is.
And some of those names called...
'Sailors' have not yet been taught?
And agitation seems to roll off your back,
Quicker than a duck can quack?
You have arrived!

And...
'If' you can admit,
To hugging and kissing a tree...
Publicly?
There are few things in life,
You have not experienced.
And your smile reflected,
Appears most genuine.
