Most Sought Idol - Poem by Seun Bewaji

Gambling
You are the most sought idol
You appeal to men’s greed
With the bait of chance
Their destiny became tied
By their very hands
On the edges of dice
They are pierce with sorrow
You loath their wealth
You damage their health
Relationship was severed
With the cruelty of your deed
And the poison of greed
You wear the cloth of chance
And painted yourself
With the colour of fate
They gamble today
To crumble their future
Their past became ghost
That haunts them to the grave
