Moth To The Flame Poem by jason mcgookin

Moth To The Flame

Like a moth to the flame, she pulls me in.
Hotter and hotter the closer i get.
The heat is unbearable, burning my skin.
My body betrays my mind, tricking me into her fire.
Stroking the flames that burn in my soul.
the fire is spreading her flames around me,
catapulting me deep within her.
Burnt by my sins, i cherish this moment,
a burning desire, the fire erupyts.
Sending bellowing smoke, as the cinders float up.
finally a settling glow,
As im fully consumed, burnt to ashes,
A moth to the flame.
