Mother Poem by Kay Davies

Mother

In so many ways I owe you my life,
In so many ways you've kept me alive,
Yet still you walk away,
Not forever, maybe just for today.
Yet in the end you still walk away.
How long today until she returns, How long until she doesnt?
Questions roam around my mind,
Was is something I did, Was it something I said.
Calmly again you walk away with a smile on your face,
Oblivious to the fact that you are leaving,
Walking from someone how needs you so well,
To someone who wants you so much,
Do not feel bad for the mistakes you have made,
Do not feel sad for the chances that have passed,
Do not call me name in a large crowed when I an not longer around,
Remember what you have taught me,
Remember who I am,
I am not walking away, I am simply walking true.
