Mother Laments For Her Daughter Who Goes With Her Lover! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Mother Laments For Her Daughter Who Goes With Her Lover!

In spite of my saying, to my daughter who has
The mouth with fragrant aroma of maroon colored
Water lily and the beautiful waist, ‘gently gently'

While walking even after smearing the red colored
Fine and soft paste over both the soles of her feet,
She feels the pain and pulls back her feet which are so soft!

O' such a soft natured feet,
How did these bear now to walk with her lover
through the forest with rough stones?
