Mother Of Man Poem by Joseph Caraveo

Mother Of Man

Mother of man i hear you cry
Head hangs low, where is Your pride
Have You forgotten or do You not know
The foundation of man
Thru You i glow
Forget little boys and pretend men
Your Mother of man
Where it all begins
What pain You bear with love and grace
i see Heaven in Your every face
Without You i cease to exist
My Mother
My Lover
My Friend
Your sacrifice
i will never understand
Thru Your flesh and blood i am
You feed and bath us nurture and scold
Send us off to make our mark
Then we look for you as men
Still just lost little boys
Looking for a loving hand
At times You get lost
Some crush you along the way
But i write these words
Simple and sweet
YOUR MOTHER OF MAN
I bow at Your feet
