Mother's Rage Poem by Lala Singer

Mother's Rage

Angry words fly out her mouth
like the fire that spews from a dragon
words that can cut a person so deep
it would make them want to jump off the band wagon
critisim and harsh realities is all she has to offer
silence and a change of subject is all she'll ever receive
her words hurt and burn so much
the fact that it's unintentional is hard to believe
she can get inside your head
and bring out insecurities you never knew you had
and you wanna hate her but you can't
and that's what makes you mad
but you learn to accept these things
because every day is good, just some are better than others
but in the end you forgive her
because you love your mother
