Mother's Wish Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Mother's Wish

I don't know if I can continue pleasing her,
Living for the way of another,

For I am afraid to fail,
Unsure of if I can prevail.

Paving the way,
Which I am not sure I will stay.

I am so afraid of disappointment,
Another reluctant astonishment.
No profound predicament.
Nothing but an unwanted embellishment.

So let me know,
As paving this road has a long way to go.
