Mother Teresa Poem by Sunny Chopra

Mother Teresa

Humblest of beginning
from where she came

Tasks she took upon
would put us to shame

Downtrodden as family
she tended every need

Regardless of any color,
culture, cast or creed

Altruistically committed
to noble cause ordained

Concern for humanity
she forever maintained

An apostle was seen
conduit for basic trust

Stood strong against
unfair and all unjust

Frail though in stature
lot vigor she possessed

Deep within her heart
had all pain compressed

Healing were her touch
empathetic to mankind

For most of dejected,
and terminally resigned

Dignity she personified
and hope she displayed

Respect for all living
and dead she conveyed
