Move On Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

Move On

Why do I sing such sad laments
That break the aching heart already
Shaking up the heart's contents
Yet move beyond quite steady?

Move on to cheerier thoughts, I say
Be quick, my friend, to search for bliss
Put far behind the gloomier day
And search for that extra special kiss.

Life is a mix of the happy and sad
No day comes without some sorrow
Seek that which makes you sing the glad
And do not tomorrow's trouble borrow.
