Multi-Voices Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Multi-Voices

The voice thundering down the mountains holy
That startled even Moses the prophet mighty
The voice replete with fatherly sentiments inspiring awe
Declaring aloud His benign feel for His beloved son
The voice of sea-nymphs capable of sure seduction
Which the saint proverbially puritan
Must be wary of lest he should slip into sin
And forfeit all claims to blissful heaven
All too clear contrast of hosannas and shouts for blood
Angelic carols magnificent and devilish shrieks in Pandemonium
Anguished cries piercing and rich notes of ecstatic delirium
O Man, free yet bewildered, which would you listen to?
