Mumma Poem by Vinesh Goel

Mumma

Your sons a little confused maa,
And amazed at how composed you are…
Growing up in your cozy embrace was such a blessing…
Else I would have lost a million battles so far.

Never realized how strong you were, (up until now)
Even though you express your own doubts so far…
But Maa if you ask my opinion,
None else to father would have been a better dressing…

You played with me in that tiny room of ours…
With repaired rackets and a rope for a bar…
Loved me, dressed me, and cleaned my pooh…
Despite your troubling scars…

Whispered in my untamed ears your multiple blessings,
And cajoled me to sleep when my dreams were trespassing…
Fed me milk when I was hungry…
Despite your reservations and all that drudgery...

Taught me to read and taught me to write…
When you knew that for you to do that was such a fight…
Woke with me when I was being examined…
And prepared me delicacies when I was famished…

You know Maa, sometimes when I call you all of a sudden…
And you tend to wonder what the matter with me is…
Those phone calls out of the blue…
They are to tell you how much I love you…

Maa I just have not enough words to express my feelings,
How wonderfully you caught me always from falling…
I don't understand how amazing the law of nature is…
For when I really feel alone, I am always receiving your call…

Maa, there are multiple people I meet during my day…
Some tend to like me some tend to abhor…
At times it becomes bothering and crooked,
I then see your face and say, 'You rise. You Got It! ! '

And Maa, when on your birthday I am away…
And the day is proceeding like any other day…
Friends they wonder why I m feeling so happy…
And I say…guess what…today's my mom's birthday…

Maa, you know how it is with the world…
Sometimes emotions are difficult to convert…
I might not have said how much I care for you…
But I love you Maa, and it's true…
