Murderer Poem by Alice Silvers

Murderer

Rating: 5.0

I am dying
I wonder why this happened to me
I hear him coming back to finish me off
I see nothing, my vision blurred with blood
I want to take everything back
I am dying

I pretend I can survive
I feel the final bullet slice through my flesh, through bone, into my brain
I touch my now still body as I stand over myself
I worry no one will find my body
I cry silently as I watch him continue to abuse my corpse
I am dead

I understand now what must be done
I say, now it's my turn
I dream of watching him suffer
I try and forget it
I hope they won't judge me for what I'm about to do
I am a murderer
