Musing On Friends Poem by Shiloh Thompson

Musing On Friends

Pondering thoughts I will never voice,
A strange paradox of loneliness and pain,
These feelings are here not by my choice,
But there is really nothing left to gain.

A petty argument that got out of hand,
The ‘he said, she said’ argument worn out,
This pettiness and idiocy should be banned,
That sort of thing never holds any clout.

Wandering alone in the pouring rain,
Each dropp hiding the tears in my eyes,
Not for the others, but for my own pain,
It seems the world has started to cry.

The world is painted in shades of gray,
No black or white, nor color it seems,
With no more words I need to say,
Moving on with what Fate deems.

But lo, there is still a slight hope,
Not for ‘us’ but for my own life,
With all of this I’ll learn to cope,
To find friends with less hate and strife.

As a R&R poet I loved it. I shall read more and you shall be on my return list. I will leave you a message as well. GW62
