Must Believe Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Must Believe

Don't ask me about yesterday
It was beautiful and shining day
I bathed in river's bed and in open
The sky was only witness to flower the scene

Today is filled with gloom
There are no more blossoms
The flower has lost its fragrance
I shall speak with no more chance

Was it not a little trailer?
To keep me happy with promising offer!
I believed each word
Shut the eyes and looked forward

"The cuckoo may sing again"
I must believe and remain
Always in readiness to welcome
When he knocks to come

Not me alone here
But happiness everywhere
Shall descend to shower
I shall be overflowed with tears
