Muted Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Muted

I have been muted
So long ago
Ceaselessly uprooted
Mercilessly looted
That my sanity
None left in store

That look in my eyes
Frozen smiles
Full of lies
Constant churn
Within this heart
Hiding pains, is just an art

No, I am not living
Any more
It's just a shadow
Left from my past
A wooden doll
Made out of my cast.
