I look; in the glitter of your eyes
I see the promise of paradise
On your smooth celestial face
I see the boundless beauty of the black race
In the eternal stretch of your hair
I see a fluffy softness so rare
In the warmth of your smile
I see the splendor of nature in style
Then I look at the sky that lies on and on
For every shooting star across the horizon
My ardent wish is to be a painter
That captures forevermore your unmatched lustre
