My Anxiety

I try to breathe in and out
I'm full of so much doubt
They say take a rest
It's all just a test
They want me to fail
I'm not going to bail
Even though I shiver and shake
I tremble like an eartquake
I try to smile bright
Pretend I'm alright
To my fear, doubts, and worries I try not to succumb
In fact I try to go numb
But this anxiety builds in my chest
It won't let me rest

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
